The Senior HR Business Partner reports to the EVP, Human Resources and partners with the centralized HR team. The Senior HRBP is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units; serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and through collaborative partnerships delivers value-added services that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicates needs proactively with our HR department and business management, and seeks to develop integrated solutions. Highly collaborative role.
Responsibilities:
• Acts as a single point of contact for all HR related matters for assigned business groups. Builds strong business relationships with business leaders, management, and employees.
• Proactively supports the delivery of HR initiatives, programs, and processes. Partners with business leadership to assess business needs and bring best solutions for employees.
• Partners with centralized HR teams (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, etc.) to communicate business needs and implement HR-related initiatives and best practices.
• Manages complex and difficult employee relations issues/concerns within assigned business groups. Partners with EVP, HR, and others as needed, to resolve and manage risk.
• Leads annual performance management process and succession planning within assigned business groups.
• Designs and manages development and succession plans for key talent and key job positions.
• Assesses organizational structure and proposes changes. Leads organizational change and restructure efforts based on business needs. Designs and maintains organization charts.
• Actively identifies business/team related gaps. Proposes and implements changes necessary to bridge gaps and mitigate risks.
• Serves on both the HR and business group management teams.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or closely related fields required
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in an HRBP or Sr. HR Manager role
• Minimum 5 years’ experience providing HR support in a corporate office environment; entertainment industry, cable, media Industry experience highly preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, change management, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
• Experience managing and resolving complex employee relations issues required
• Experience in organizational design and restructures in a corporate environment
• Ability to solve a wide range of complex, multi-disciplinary problems
