Job Description
As the AD of Media Research, you’ll act as a consultant to strategy/planning teams on tools (how to use them), research/data (what data to use for specific brand questions), and market analyses (reporting on changes in the ad expenditure and media consumption landscape). The majority of your efforts will be tied to Zenith specific projects, but you may also support our Blue449 brand for tools and training.
Tools
• Be the agency expert on all planning tools that Zenith has access to, including: Tardiis, NMI, ROI Modeler, MRI, GWI, Frequency Planner, CX Tool, Netbase, Socialtools, Touchpoints, etc.
• Train planning teams on proper use of Zenith’s Extensive Toolbox, track login access across all tools, and organize regular agency-wide trainings
• Serve as a liaison between planners and research vendors, troubleshooting issues with tools and identifying new needs from the tools
• Support efforts for new business RFPs, including:
• Providing descriptions and use case examples for all tools
• Using tools to gather research/intel, and develop plan scenarios/optimizations
Market/Media Analyses
• Collaborate with senior management to write agency’s worldwide publications:
• Quarterly Ad Expenditure Report
• Market Media Fact Book (1x a year in Q3/Q4)
• Media Consumption Forecast (1x a year in April)
• New Media Forecast (1x a year in Q4)
• Luxury Ad Forecast (summer time)
• Prepare customized client presentations, evaluating and presenting insights on the current media landscape and media usage metrics
Qualifications
• 3+ Years media research and/or planning experience at an agency or content company. Agency preferred.
• Advanced MS- Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
• Excellent analytical, written and communication skills
• Working knowledge of media research sources and terminology across multiple media sources
• Experience using data and deliverable software across media channels for research purposes, including Nielsen, MRI, GWI, comScore, NetBase, and others.
• Undergraduate degree required, post graduate a plus
