Publicity Assistant, Random House

We are currently seeking a Publicity Assistant to join the Random House publicity department. This position provides an opportunity to support two senior-level professionals, while handling responsibilities such as:
• Helping to implement publicity campaigns for commercial fiction and non-fiction titles, including helping create pitch materials and researching media targets
• Creating and managing author itineraries
• Liaising with media, booksellers, colleagues in-house, and authors
• Organizing travel and hotel logistics for author tours and special events
• Additional assignments, projects and responsibilities, as needed.
Requirements:
• The ideal candidate has a BA, as well as some relevant internship or working experience.
• The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment with high-level organizational skills.
• Candidates should also be self-starters with impeccable attention to detail and possess a proactive and independent approach to work.
• Savvy with social media, internet research, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with InDesign.
• Experience in book publishing or media is beneficial, but not required.
Salary for this position is $40,000. Full-time employees are eligible for our comprehensive benefits program.
