The Manager, Analytics provides in depth analyses and reporting to key stakeholders across Editorial, Audience Development, Digital Leadership and more to help achieve revenue and traffic goals on Allure.com and Teenvogue.com. The Manager will be responsible for evangelizing the use of online analytics for more insight-based business decisions, both strategic and tactical, while serving as the analytic subject matter expert to various levels of business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be someone who is highly quantitative, who is also nimble and creative with the ability to think critically and incorporate data and testing into the decision-making process. Expertise with digital analytic tools is a must but we are also looking for people who are curious, motivated and entrepreneurial.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work closely with digital leadership to determine and meet growth KPIs and ensure they align with revenue strategy
• Provide insight that will grow traffic to the website and foster audience engagement and loyalty
• Apply data mining and information gathering techniques to identify and interpret patterns and trends in visitor behavior on Allure.com and Teenvogue.com
• Build and maintain daily/weekly/monthly reporting on editorial performance, content analytics and traffic trends to the Digital Editorial team and other key stakeholders
• Partner closely with Digital Editorial to help them understand audiences across all distribution sources, including Social, Newsletter and Search, by analyzing traffic and content trends and creating a reporting system
• Responsible for providing in-depth analyses and data-based recommendations to help improve reader engagement onsite
• Develop and maintain robust traffic forecasts to support various key stakeholders within the organization
Required Skills:
• 3-5 years of experience with a major website, digital advertising agency or online marketing, advertising, publishing, fashion or retail organization with a thorough understanding of online business models and strategies
• Hands-on experience with reporting and analysis for a major web analytics tool such as Omniture and Google Analytics
• Expertise in one or more of the following distribution channels: Social, SEO, Email
• Entrepreneurial, digitally savvy, creative and experimental in the approach to problem solving, with exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to clearly articulate and present initiatives to creative and technical teams alike
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts
