We have an exciting opening for a dynamic and digitally savvy Inside Sales Representative. This person provides advertising and customer operational support to our customers. You will also coordinate/execute and fulfill internal functions as it relates to walk-in classified advertising and legal. Do you think you are the right fit? If so, then let’s do this! Responsibilities:
• Accepts walk-in customers and assists the advertising team.
• Meets or exceeds revenue expectations. Enters, processes, and verifies customer ad orders into the system.
• Provides assistance and support to walk-in customers in the placement and processing of obits.
• Provides customer assistance with obits questions, composition of content, deadlines, corrections, payments and adjustments within prescribed limits of authority.
• Creates sales solutions and presents advertising packages using value selling principles and techniques.
• Verifies and releases ads for standards of acceptance, HUD guidelines, and copy control.
• Performs a variety of clerical duties as required.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• 1-2 years of sales, customer service, office/clerical or similar type of experience. Cashiering experience is helpful.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook Email
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and telephone communications skills.
• Good written communication, spelling, grammar and math skills.
• Able to listen to, understand and document customer requests.
• Strong customer relations skills with the ability to interact directly with the public, including during sensitive/emotional situations.
• Ability to understand and communicate the essentials of building an effective ad in creating ad copy for customers.
• Able to accurately enter orders into the system.
• Must be able to work well under pressure of deadlines and to adapt to change.
• Ability to understand and comply with state and federal government laws and guidelines which affect advertising.
