AEG Merchandise seeks an account payable and accounts receivable clerk who will interface with the Staff Accountant and Director of Merchandise Finance to support various tasks on a daily basis. The AP/AR clerk will ensure all AP invoices are processed accurately and all AR invoices are issued on a timely basis. The clerk must be able to perform data entry functions in an efficient and timely manner. This position will report to the Director of Merchandise Finance.
Essential Duties:
1. Match invoices to receiving documents and review for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
2. Code all invoices to appropriate General Ledger account.
3. Data Entry of all invoices into the appropriate spreadsheets
4. Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies
5. Create Accounts Receivable Invoices
6. Coordinate and respond to credit card chargeback transactions for varies venues
7. Assists in year-end closing by preparing accruals for all assigned entities
8. Assist in year-end physical inventory
9. Filing and Copy
10. Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
1. A minimum education level of High School Diploma or its equivalency
2. Years of related work experience: 1-2 years’ accounts payable and general office experience required
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
4. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, work independently and high attention to detail
5. Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Ability to quickly learn new software (RetailCloud, ImageNow, JDE/Oracle, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
2. Background in Sports/Entertainment industry preferred
