Description
In this role you will lead quantitative and qualitative research efforts to generate insight for executive management, product development, marketing and sales. This role will deliver project-based research as well as define reporting/dashboards to provide commercial insights for strategic decision support. The successful candidate must have proven experience in customer-centric research and analytics, generating customer and market insights that drive strategy to grow the business. Experience with the US healthcare market and healthcare delivery trends is preferred.
Our candidate will report to the Senior Director of Customer Understanding and will be based in our downtown Philadelphia Office.
Your responsibilities
• Interact with business stakeholders to understand key issues and design descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analysis engagements
• Source data necessary to support the analysis engagement
• Design and execute research projects (qualitative and quantitative/online and offline), identifying the best method or combination of research methods to use in a given situation, considering qualitative and quantitative options as well as primary/secondary sources
• Develop customer personas and map customer journey for all key segments to understand how they identify, influence, select, implement and renew information services related to clinical reference/workflow, staff performance management (LMS), and patient education/engagement
• Apply commercial analysis methods to measure business progress and identify new opportunities, including market sizing, market share, customer share of wallet, customer profiling/segmentation, cross-sell and new market opportunities
• Steward customer/market data from a business perspective to define data sources, metrics, dimensions, and dashboards to support regular reporting and ad hoc inquiry
• Become the authoritative voice inside the business of the definition of our business
• Multitask to balance multiple projects at various stages of planning/execution
• Visualize findings and communicate recommendations with senior business leaders
What you should bring
• 6+ years of work experience in market research, commercial analysis, business intelligence roles.
• Proven track record designing and executing research/analysis engagements focused on commercial insights.
• Experience with statistical methodologies such as decision trees, clustering, regression and others
• Experience with tools such as OBIEE, Cognos,Tableau, SAS, SPSS, R, etc.
• Comfortable and effective when interfacing with director and VP-level business leaders. Strong ability to understand business problems and translate to requirements.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, with emphasis on data visualization skills. Ability to synthesize findings into essential insights and communicate them effectively to senior management.
• Experience in healthcare-related business such as healthcare networks, insurance (payor), pharmaceutical, medical device, HIT, medical publishing, healthcare staffing, etc.
• Power-user of Microsoft office suite including advanced Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, psychology/sociology or mathematics. Master’s Degree in business intelligence, statistics, or equivalent preferred.
