Requirements
As part of Macmillan Learning Curriculum Solutions, the Project Manager for Content Services will oversee and coordinate projects to drive and grow custom solution capabilities across a variety of disciplines. The Project Manager will work across teams, both internal and external, to plan, drive, and deliver on project schedules and budget in support of custom content strategy in Academic and Institutional divisions.
Responsibilities:
• Work with business partners to identify and fill gaps in content. Act as liaison between business units on custom content initiatives and on identifying and surfacing high value content.
• Coordinate with operations and technology to meet requirements regarding rights, accessibility, storage, taxonomy, discovery
• Vendor/Partner Management (identification, cultivation, and management) of Intellus Curated Courses or other content creation initiatives to support custom requirements.
• Manage a subset of OER-based courses in Intellus and evaluate institution-developed courses as part of the broader Intellus offering. Ensure content meets strategic business requirements (technical, quality, pedagogy, market)
• Responsible for delivering high quality content on time/on spec/on budget for multiple initiatives, including Intellus Curated Courses, OpenStax localized customizations, and original content projects.
• Assist in developing new workflows to support content strategy and the management of the content collection (content repository)
Required Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years of increasing responsibility in managing multiple projects involving change control, risk management, project planning, budgeting and scheduling.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor management and negotiation
• Demonstrated experience in managing internal customer and stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders and others
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies
• Knowledge of or experience in the higher education market preferred
• Understanding of content management methodologies and systems preferred
Education Requirements: College Degree or Higher
