Specialist, Product Marketing (Auto & Political) - Media

Job Summary:
The specialist is someone who assists in the development and execution of fully integrated automotive and political marketing and advertising strategies for Spectrum Reach. He/ She will collaborate with sales managers/account executives, and cross functional teams to help drive revenue across the enterprise. The Specialist will be a critical member of the Auto & Political product marketing team and company-wide Auto & Political task force.
Major Role and Responsibilities:
Primary function: 70%
• Support the development, timely distribution and refreshing of strong category collateral, assets and data-driven narratives for sales. To help facilitate this:
◦ Keep current on consumer, market insights, and competitive intelligence
◦ Distill multiple sources of information into easy-to-understand collateral in multiple formats (PowerPoint, Infographics and Videos)
◦ Create marketing insight pieces by utilizing proven writing abilities
◦ Interact with cross function teams (Sales Support, Product Activation and other key stakeholders)
◦ Prioritize and align all projects with goals, objectives and requirements of sales
• Manage and regularly refresh Auto and Political sections on corporate Intranet via Content Management System (Microsoft Sharepoint)
• Manage relationship and projects with internal creative agency
• Attend a variety of industry events and webinars to gather, analyze, and socialize information about the industry and competitors to Product Marketing teams and the company at large
• Maintain and upkeep database of both internal and external category resources, industry and competitive data to support the categories as needed
• Establish yourself as at trusted collaborator to sales
Secondary functions (30%)
• Management and support towards of Co-op initiatives for auto category (20%)
• Management and development of pre-approved vendor program for auto category (10%)
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor Degree preferred
Experience: 3+ years
Specialized Skills (required):
• 3+ years in an agency or corporate marketing environment
• Curiosity and passion for problem solving
• Strong writing abilities and proven track record within marketing environment (provide samples)
• Ability to manage simultaneous requests with good problem-solving skills
• Good visual sense of what best-in-class marketing collateral looks like and the ability to facilitate this
• Ability to work with and interface with cross function teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong presentation/communication skills
• Willingness and desire to learn and utilize new marketing platforms, tools and resources
Specialized Skills (desired):
• Experience within the Automotive industry a plus, interest is a must
• Digital marketing experience a plus
• Experience with Content Management Systems (Microsoft SharePoint)
