Job Description
WZZM 13, the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking an Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team. This key sales support role will manage day-to-day responsibilities of assigned accounts working directly with the enterprise and local sales team members; providing administrative and customer service support while utilizing a deep understanding of the company’s multi-media solutions. Day to day responsibilities include overseeing multi-platform advertising campaigns including, but not limited to, front-end research, proposal development, order entry, creative management, campaign optimization, post-sale activity and overall campaign execution/management. The successful candidate will be able to execute a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
• Daily interaction with direct client business; this responsibility includes maintenance of client schedules on television and online, regular tracking of client audience delivery using Nielsen ratings, developing presentations, merchandising the station and generally providing a high-level of customer service.
• Assists designated Account Executives with proposal development, building schedules in Wide Orbit, avails, entering orders, submitting make-goods, overseeing the maintenance of contracts, and overall account and customer service.
• Able to make decisions and solve problems independently to support designated sellers.
• Accurately sets up new customer accounts, contracts, billing, etc. Handles all new order onboarding and any fulfillment issues.
• Collaborates with sales managers and designated Account Executives in customizing insightful sales presentations and selling collateral.
• Manages the implementation of programs and schedules sold by designated sellers.
• Partners with sales managers in the development of retention and incremental revenue ideas.

Job Requirements
Skills:
• Min. 2 years of account service support in a professional, fast-paced environment.
• Interest in Sales with ability to upsell, cross-sell, and resell existing clients
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadline pressure.
• Strong MS Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and especially PowerPoint
• Ability to effectively solve problems independently.
• Grasp of the big picture and how individual departments and processes work together.
• Creative and able to adapt quickly to change.
• A personal style that promotes effective communication and professional relationship-building.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Self-motivation and willingness to work as a team player are essential attributes. Creativity, flexibility, and ability to change with our industry are also keys to success.
