Position Overview
This position provides support to various HR functional areas and assists with ensuring data integrity through processing HR transactions, testing of system changes, report generation and analyzing data workflows for process improvement opportunities within Workday HCM. The HR Operations Specialist also supports Workday upgrades, patches, testing and other projects as assigned.
Essential Functions
Data Management:
• Enters, updates and maintains employee lifecycle data in Workday, including, but not limited to, pre-hires, hires, job and compensation changes, and terminations
• Reviews and recommends updates to business processes for employee data changes.
• Performs routine quality control audits. Performs data integrity audits of information entered or interfaced into the HCM application. Seeks opportunities to pro-actively ensure high quality data integrity.
System maintenance:
• Assists in the review, testing and implementation of Workday system upgrades or patches.
• Assists in the maintenance of Workday system tables, job code library.
• Documents processes and results. Assists in the development of user procedures, guides and documentation.
Production support:
• Receives, routes, resolves, and properly closes all HR inquiries within their specialty or assignment in an accurate and timely manner.
Projects/process improvement:
• Participates in system testing and identification of system and user-interface issues; provides feedback to leadership and HRIS.
• Serves on committees, work groups, and/or process improvement teams, as assigned, to assist in improving quality and customer satisfaction.
Skills Required
Skills & Experience
• One to three years of experience in an HR operations role.
• Exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, perseverance, customer-first attitude and flexibility
• Superior facility with Excel and other Microsoft-office products, Strong Microsoft Office in Excel, Access, Power Point, Project, etc.
• Ability to calculate, analyze, and interpret mathematical information such as percent differences, ratios, median, mean, weighted average, etc.
• Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities with a results orientation. Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Seeks feedback, continuously learns, and takes advantage of opportunities to improve knowledge, skill, and experience.
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Ability to use and navigate computer applications/databases to enter job data changes and personal data changes as well as to research and employee inquiries.
• Working knowledge of Workday or other HCM system, HR Reporting and data analysis
• Familiarity with compensation programs (i.e. Annual merit review, special pay, salary grade administration, premium pay, bonuses) highly desirable
• Ability to perform data integrity audit procedures for large data sets highly desirable
• Familiarity with applicable employment-related Federal and State regulations
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent work experience.
