SUMMARY
Hulu’s product management team is seeking a Business Analyst who will be an exceptional addition to our team. As a Business Analyst at Hulu, you will be responsible for helping to define requirements and drive execution for the Ad Platforms group to support our Advertising business, across both internal and external stakeholders. The right person for this role can solve complex problems, communicate solutions concisely, articulate clear vision to technical and non-technical groups and passionately drives results. WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Develop, manage and define the backlog and requirements plan for the Advertising business across all devices/platforms (web, mobile, and living room), working with various stakeholder groups across product, technology, finance, sales and legal groups
• Own the business requirements collection and definition for the product team, focusing on our platform tooling
• Be responsible for the collection, synthesis and delivery of business requirements for our Salesforce platform
• Be responsible for the collection, synthesis and delivery of business requirements for our Operative order management platform
• Be responsible for the collection, synthesis and delivery of business requirements for our Yieldex forecasting platform
• Be responsible for the collection, synthesis and delivery of business requirements for our STAQ 3rd party aggregation platform
• Work directly with our technical teams to translate user and business requirements into user stories and implementation details as the features move from definition to execution
• Act as the intermediary between sales, product, engineering and other project stakeholders to compile requirements and ensure they are clearly articulated, fully defined and comprehensively understood
• Conduct acceptance testing to ensure features are built to spec and satisfy the user needs
• Partner with cross-functional teams to build brand new features that improve operational efficiency
• Define and build the product backlog for our 3rd party tools across our entire pre-sale workflow
• Partner with senior product, sales and technology leaders to scope, prioritize and execute the vision
• Partner with our advertising sales teams to gather critical requirements, turn requirements into feature definition and build tools that solve user needs
• Partner with our internal operational teams to gather critical requirements, turn requirements into feature definition and build tools that solve user needs
• Partner with other advertising scrum teams to ensure features are properly scoped, work is properly planned, features are built to satisfy user needs and that work is being completed on-time
• Partner with our user experience team to design the front-end UI for operational platforms and drive execution with the team
• Collaborate with other Product Managers, engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure coordination and completion of various responsible products
• Work closely with legal teams and company leaders to ensure industry and privacy-compliant use of data
WHAT TO BRING
• Computer Science, business degree or equivalent experience
• Proven experience and success in a BA or product role with the ability to demonstrate a proven record of success in building new products for the market
• 1-3 years of BA experience, highly preferred from established technology or digital media company
• 5+ years of digital and/or TV advertising experience, preferably working in video ad technology and closely aligned to sales organizations
• Highly driven and focused personality who enjoys moving quickly and getting things done
• Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
• Demonstrate the ability to manage and grow a product team that will get the best out of each member
NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience at a top Digital or TV advertising measurement company and/or understanding of the ad measurement industry
• Passion for television, Streaming Video On Demand (SVOD), or Over the Top (OTT) industry
• Creative or design background
• Ability to create functional prototypes to lead ideation process
• Experience running design sprints with internal teams
