PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/Now is the highly acclaimed contemporary opera-theatre and music-theatre festival, held annually for 10 days each January in New York City. Approaching its sixth season in January 2018, PROTOTYPE is seeking applicants to work year-round to grow the festival through institutional grants, corporate sponsorships and individual donations.

Candidate must be highly detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent writing and communication capabilities.

• Oversee the planning and execution of the PROTOTYPE Soirée, held annually during the Festival;
• Write, edit, and submit letters of inquiry, grant proposals and sponsorship requests;
• Collaborate with HERE and/or BMP staff to create funding budgets for applications and reports;
• Write and submit project-specific grant reports and updates as needed;
• Strategize project-specific funding plans in conjunction with artistic directors/producers;
• Collaborate with PROTOTYPE marketing personnel to keep fundraising information up to date on the PROTOTYPE website and all marketing materials;

• Demonstrated ability to produce successful fundraising outcomes and meet multiple fast-paced timelines;
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and reprioritize within a rapidly changing environment;
• Self-starter, organized, disciplined and highly detail-oriented;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both individually and as part of a team;
