This position will assist the Senior Director, InfoSec Awareness & Business Continuity Planning, in executing two newly created programs for a large organization with a global reach. In this role, the specialist will have an opportunity to work across the organization in an exciting, innovative and dynamic business environment to continue building a secure culture where each employee understands that Information Security lies within each one of us.
Familiarity with highly regulated industries, business continuity, incident management and/or information security is a plus as this individual will assist in conveying business continuity and information security risks. The individual best fit for this position must be comfortable working across multiple groups, building relationships, communicating across the organization and managing multiple priorities to create broad awareness
for Information Security and Business Continuity across the employee population to maintain a company-wide culture built around preparedness.
In addition, this role will assist in reporting on our initiatives to Senior Management and key stakeholders.
Accountabilities:
• Create and administer Cyber Defense and Business Continuity training and awareness initiatives through project plan development to coordinate project resources and track project effort.
• Create dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders in the support of daily operations & departmental strategic plan.
• Identification of root cause issues and collaborates with internal customers, operations staff, and management to determine resolutions and recommend alternatives to management to achieve desired department objectives based on findings and data available
• Collect, prioritize and distribute details for internal and external audit and customer requests as they relate to the Cyber Defense and/or Business Continuity programs
• Perform project plan development and/or coordination of the Cyber Defense Awareness initiatives, involving plan, feasibility, approach, cost and budget analysis
• Create and track the maintenance and exercise schedules in support of the Business Continuity Program
Qualifications:
• Required Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree in Information Systems/Information Security/Engineering/Computer Science or similar field preferred.
• 2-4 years experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Projects, a plus
• Experience in the Technology or highly regulated industry a plus
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, with an emphasis on information security and privacy requirements surrounding HIPAA/HITECH, GLBA, DPPA and FCRA; certifications ABCP, CBCP, CISA, CISSP or equivalent preferred
• Familiarity with the ISO-22301 business continuity frameworks a plus
• Basic understanding of IT security industry standards (i.e. NIST; ISO-27001)
• Strong organizational skills including effectively handling multiple assignments simultaneously and prioritizing work effectively.
• Strong communication (verbal and written); interpersonal; customer service and presentation creation skills.
• Travel - up to 20% both domestic and international
