JOB TITLE: Dir, Solutions Automation
JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Solutions Automation owns continuous improvement and automation activities relating to the key tools developed by the Media Solutions team. Responsible to drive optimal value and efficiency gains through user analytical, standardization of reporting, yield management and other required enhancements for deployed solutions. Coordinates closely with both the Director of Business Management and Senior Director of Solutions Integration on prioritization and existing integration roadmap to ensure optimization and automation received from the field and other research (i.e. yield management, user analytical etc.) get actionable like other driving forces within the organization.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Leads prioritization, business requirements and ensures alignment against business needs for key sales automation solutions, including Inventory Forecasting, CRM and Proposal Management (after initial launch)
Proactively monitor user experience metrics from deployed solutions to ensure development is focused on the main areas of concern (i.e. low usage vs high usage modules and recommending improvements)
Ensures that sales automation solutions, e.g. cross-platform inventory, forecasting tools and systems, meet the required specifications and format for integration into dashboards and other solutions
Helps direct the design and implementation of standardized methods and orchestrations (e.g. APIs) for integrating inventory data, forecasting and analysis into sales automation tools, to provide for modularity and ease of integration with legacy and future systems
Partners closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Advanced Advertising and other stakeholders to align and integrate inventory forecasting tools across the business to ensure accuracy within Solution sets
Coordinates with Operations on evaluation of vendor/3rd party tools and definition of requirements for vendor/3rd party tool integration into O&O sales automation tools, e.g. inventory forecasting, order management, etc.
Validates and guides implementation of inventory forecasting models for both audience specific and spot specific inventory inside sales automation tools
Coordinates with field on training and deployment of sales automation solutions
Coordinates with Operations to manage pacing across platforms to feed back into planning and scheduling tools
Assist product team in sales and operations process integration
Proactively identifies areas to increase sales and operational efficiency where technical gaps or manual process could be reasonably automated or redesigned through deployment of solutions/tools, and initiates the review of those areas with responsible stakeholders
Ensures sales automation tools provide clear, intuitive, properly contextualized and actionable information for sales to make quick well informed decisions when using them
Coordinates with Sales to ensure sales automation tools continue to support the needs of sales teams; track sales automation KPIs such as usage, throughput, automation fallout, etc.; communicate these KPIs to management with recommendations for optimization opportunities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Strong analytical skills and the ability to address issues using a logical, systematic, structured approach
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; knowledge of budgeting, P&L reports, systems and procedures

Strong knowledge of cable television products and services
Strong knowledge of digital products and services
Excellent negotiating, leadership, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to supervise and motivate others
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, management or related field.
