Contracts Manager
Prepare and negotiate legal contracts for clients within the Insurance Claims Division of LexisNexis Risk Solutions.
Accountabilities
• Contract Administration
• Prepare initial contract drafts (including Agreements, Letters of Intent, etc.) from standard contract templates for internal legal and business review for the Insurance Claims Division.
• Edit contract documents in response to customer and internal changes to documents and facilitate legal review.
• Participate in contract negotiations as necessary. Manage distribution (internal and external) of contract drafts and finalized contracts. Maintain contract templates and develop new templates as needed and make them accessible to relevant personnel.
• Liaison with Claims Division accounting, Claims Division sales reps and customers to ensure effective communication of contract terms and conditions, expiration dates, and roles and responsibilities of all parties.
• Serve as central point of contact for Claims Division staff for questions related to Claims Division contracts
• Monitor contract expiration dates and coordinate with sales to ensure timely renewal conversations.
• Develop and maintain repository of contracts for internal use and reference (to include point of contact information, contract value, special terms and conditions, and sales rep information) to provide ready access to all Claims group contracts and proposals
Qualifications
• Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, J.D. preferred
• Experience & Training: 5-7 Years total related experience including 2-5 Years contract management
• Experience with contract development
• Specific Skills: MS Office Suite, Internet
• Other: Highly organized, works well in team environment, strong communication skills
• Strong internal and customer facing negotiation skills
