Finance Manager – FP&A, Spend
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Manager to join FP&A spend team. This position will lead a team of 5 direct and 4 indirect reports and will be responsible for the WWFO and BSM spend teams.
This position acts as the lead in all aspects of the WWFO spend process including managing the monthly forecast and annual budget processes as well as overseeing quarter-end activities. The role directly supports the VP of Sales Finance as the go-to person for spend related issues. In addition, the role has managerial oversight for the BSM spend team.
The right person for this role will demonstrate a strong aptitude for people management, team building and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. They must have excellent analytical skills and be able to work both at a detailed and strategic level. They must have strong communication skills and the acumen to proactively partner with varying levels of management across multiple teams.
The position will report directly to the Sr. Manager - FP&A Spend.
Main Job Responsibilities
• Manage a team of 5 direct and 4 indirect reports (including remote employees, in different time zones)
• Support the Vice President of Sales Finance as the go-to person for sales spend related issues
• Perform in depth financial analysis, build strategic models, and develop fact based recommendations to help senior leadership make informed business decisions.
• Drive the monthly forecasting and annual budget cycles.
• Oversee quarter-end activities
• Lead special projects including streamlining/automating spend reporting, forecasting, and planning processes.
Job Requirements
• BS/BA in accounting, finance, or related field. MBA and/or CPA is a plus
• 8+ years finance experience
• Prior experience in people management
• Deep understanding and hands on experience in forecasting/planning, financial analysis and modeling
• Strong process development/implementation/management skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle complexity, ambiguity, and time pressures in a fast-paced environment
• Candidate must be "hands-on" and still be able to see the "big picture”
• This position can be based in San Francisco or San Rafael, CA
