Product Manager, BIM 360 Enterprise
Autodesk BIM 360 is a leading cloud and mobile solution that is revolutionizing how construction projects are delivered across the project lifecycle. With connected, data-driven workflows, BIM 360 puts the right information into the right hands, at the right time to optimize decision making and reduce overall construction project risk. BIM 360 is one of the fastest growing products in Autodesk history and has been widely adopted in the construction industry.
The BIM 360 family of products is growing and our platform also supports a growing partner ecosystem. To ensure that the product family and ecosystem delivers a cohesive and integrated experience based on connected data and workflows, we need a product manager who can work across a large number of stakeholders that include customers, internal teams, and 3rd party partners.
The Product Manager will be responsible for driving the strategy and roadmap for the delivering an integrated data-centric enterprise solution layer that effectively connects the BIM 360 ecosystem with unified project data, centralized administration, and effective integrations with internal and external modules and products.
We are looking for a unique person for this unique product management opportunity. You have direct construction management experience and deeply understand construction processes and challenges, but can think differently to imagine new solutions to old problems. You have hands-on technical experience with using and extending construction technology. The ideal candidate has programming experience and has hands on experience using an API to develop solutions. You can work with internal and external developers to understand requirements for our API and write requirements that meet the needs and provide clear direction to our internal API developers. You have experience working with data and understand how to leverage connected data and you understand databases. You have experience working across multiple stakeholders to deliver results. You are completely customer-driven but you know how to tease out the need from customer requirements that are often communicated in the form of a narrow solution. You are open minded with a propensity to rapidly explore multiple options before driving alignment on an execution plan. You can live in ambiguity and exploration mode, but you also have a proven track record for execution and product delivery. You can manage and prioritize a large number of conflicting inputs that require you to make tradeoffs and an action plan that balances across multiple inputs. You have a strong entrepreneurial approach, excellent collaboration and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and you are driven to make a visible impact and drive change.
This individual must be a driven, energetic, creative, fearless, optimistic, and a positive problem solver who thrives on solving large, complex problems through collaboration. The ability to embrace ambiguity and change, find patterns in divergent inputs, simplify the complex, and get things done will be critical success factors.
Responsibilities:
PRODUCT STRATEGY, REQUIREMENTS, AND ROADMAP
• Deeply understand pain points in construction management and project delivery
• Work with external partners to understand workflows and define API requirements to support those workflows.
• Work with internal developers across teams to understand API and entitlement requirements that support integrated workflows across modules
• Gather and synthesize requirements and input from multiple stakeholders (customers, engineers, data scientists, user experience designers, internal business leaders, industry strategy, consulting, customer engagement, etc.).
• Collaborate with other BIM 360 product managers to deliver a unified solution across our ecosystem.
• Collaborate with the Insight and Project IQ product team to provide connected data across our solution to support workflows and analytics
• Collaborate with our customer engagement, content, and user experience teams to deliver excellent first use and onboarding experiences for BIM 360
PRODUCT OWNER ROLE
• Serve as product owner on scrum teams that deliver the enterprise administration layer for BIM 360
• Write detailed requirements and user stories and Jira tickets to ensure that Software Engineers can executive effectively
• Manage the product backlog through continuous prioritization and scrubbing.
• Work with Engineering and User Experience leads to do weekly scrum planning
• Work with support to resolve any escalated customer support tickets that require engineering intervention
• Attend daily standup meetings and be available to ensure that the scrum team gets timely input to drive execution
• Validate all new features to ensure they meet functional and experience requirements
• Partner with User Experience designers to ensure that we deliver great experiences.
PARTNER ROLE
• Collaborate with our Internal API teams and partner management teams across Autodesk to deliver effective partner programs and integrations
• Meet with 3rd party partners to understand their products and identify effective workflows that connect their products to BIM 360
• Act as an evangelist who can effectivcly present the BIM 360 solution story to customer and partners
• Work with internal engineering teams and contribute to our API roadmap across the solution
• Have direct responsibility for API roadmap for Enterprise layer

• Internal: Customer Facing teams:.. Customer Support, Customer Engagement, Consulting, Sales
• Internal: Business Process and IT Teams driving an integrated onboarding and account management experience.
• External: Customers (users and corporate developers)
• External: 3rd party partners and developers
Qualifications
• 4+ years construction industry experience
• 4+ years hands on experience with construction technology
• 4+ years Product Management and/or Product Owner experience
• 2+ years experience with Agile software development and Scrum processes
• Experience with Autodesk products
• Hands-on programming experience with experience developing solutions using a 3rd party API
• Experience analyzing customer needs and workflows and identifying gaps and solutions
• Track record of developing solutions that require collaboration across multiple organizations
• Ability to manage ambiguity and to create alignment to drive execution
• Proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries to drive collaborative engagement and results
• Passion for the customer and proven track record of delivering customer focused results
• An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to motivate matrixed organizations to do things differently
• Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills
• Highly collaborative team player who is motivated by working on hard problems with smart people
