The role: The Global Role Strategy Manager will be a key player in the design, development, deployment and enablement, as well as ongoing management of the Role strategies shaping Autodesk’s Sales & Customer Success organization. The Manager is responsible for ensuring strong design and execution of the quickly evolving sales organization with a specific focus on Sales, Partner and Customer Success roles. You continually think about how the role and their respective responsibilities you design will support our cloud and subscription services transformation.
This role will work within Autodesk’s Worldwide Sales & Channel Strategy Organization and in partnership with HR, Incentive Compensation, Readiness & Enablement and other Field sales organization to represent the Roles Strategies and drive globally consistent role based deliverables such as, Job Descriptions, Roles & Responsibilities, success metrics, and collaborate with the respective teams so they can:
• Establish the required systems and sales processes required to support the role(s)
• Define incentive compensation plans that drive the strategic role responsibilities
• Implement readiness and sales enablement.
Responsibilities Include:
• Create a scalable standardized model for Role Taxonomy including Job Titles, Descriptions, & Job Functions across Named Account, Mid-Market, Territory, Partner and Customer Success sales motions.
• Create and land FY Core Priorities & Critical Indicators of Success across different sales orgs aligned to WWFO priorities and GSO Goals & Objectives
• Partner with Incentive Compensation, Readiness & Enablement & HR stakeholders to create Career Success Guides, Role Excellence Profiles, & Career Stage Profiles
• Ensure alignment across all different Sales resources in relation to Field and Partner sellers
• Lead & maintain a community across Sales Management, Sales Excellence, & HR in all geos to drive consistency & best practices
• Partner across teams & geographies to gather voice of seller, feedback used to drive role improvements & optimization aligned to business requirements. (incl. regional variations, etc.)
• Subject Matter Expert on the Sales and Role Strategy, aligning closely with the Leadership Team, HR and Incentive Compensation team.
Ideal Profile:
• BS/BA degree with 7+ years of experience in business or related field; HR, Incentive Compensation, Role Architect, or Sales & Services required.
• Field experience as a seller would be an added advantage
• Analytical thinker with a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate to evolving business needs.
• Highly collaborative problem solver that can synthesize and rationalize feedback and inputs from multiple stakeholders
• Strategic thinker and effective communicator to influence senior decision makers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities across worldwide based talent in multiple time zones.
• Flexibility to handle directional changes with the ability to juggle moving priorities to ensure project success.
• Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing and sometimes unpredictable work environment.
• Proven ability to assess business needs, prioritize accordingly and escalate appropriately.
