Summary
Dynamic consumer marketing creative team seeks a reliable jr. copywriter with editing & proofreading skills—and an infectious “can do” attitude. The Yelp Creative Agency is our internal boutique agency responsible for connecting and executing any and all of the content seen and read by the public—creative work that showcases and sells the Yelp brand, products, features and solutions for business owners. We continue to revolutionize how a successful tech brand operates creatively. We also have a lot of fun every single day (as you would imagine).
B2C + B2B marketing copy and UI/Product copy—we hope to find a versatile writer and thinker who has a basic understanding of best practices for every channel; someone who can work with our associate creative director to perfect their craft and grow their skill set. You’ll be working alongside an experienced team of content gurus who exude passion for our brand and aim for excellence in all that they do—in an environment that can only be described as both challenging and supportive.
What you’ll be doing:
• Expected to deliver good ideas with some inconsistency but mostly ambitious (and sometimes wrong) thought starters
• Support creative teams (copywriters, designers, art directors) to develop copy for internal and external marketing initiatives
• Write clear, persuasive, compelling and original copy, headlines, taglines and calls to action
• Build and edit presentations
• Be an owner and ambassador to/for Yelp’s voice & tone to ensure that all work remains on brand.
What you need to be considered:
• A four-year degree in advertising, marketing, english, or related field
• 2+ years of copywriting, conceptualization, and editing/proofreading skills
• Experience developing copy/concepts for all channels and platforms from inception through completion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Keynote
• Excellent presentation skills and team/collaboration skills.
• Please send writing samples as well as a link to your digital portfolio
• Agency experience preferred
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
