Who You Are:
The data scientist will help leadership understand how customers find content and interact with it. This role is responsible for evaluating large data sets for complex signals and behaviors, and using that work to help us build better products and experiences.
Your Next Challenge:
• Perform data exploration, statistical analysis, and modeling on how the world interacts with Getty Images
• Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
• Identifies meaningful insights that indicate product opportunity
• Creates prototypes and experiments to test viability of insights
• Interprets the results of analysis and experiments for product leadership
• Consults with product development teams on production build-out of prototypes
What You'll Need:
• B.S. in computer science, math, statistics or related field required. Masters or PhD strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience solving business problems with statistical modeling incorporating machine learning, data mining, and exploratory data analysis
• Comfortable working with big data technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Cassandra, SQL, NoSQL)
• Prototyping and scripting experience (R/SAS/Matlab, Python)
• Ability to deliver insightful and actionable insights from complex datasets with only broad requirements
