Are you an experienced project manager looking for a new challenge? Do you have an interest in audio systems, infotainment, or automotive electronics and software? Bose Corporation is looking for a highly motivated project leader to direct the activities of cross-functional teams in the development of premium factory installed automotive audio systems. This Program Management role is a highly visible position that demands a strong grasp of automotive development and customer interface skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a technical environment while indirectly leading development teams to accomplish project objectives.
Responsibilities include:
• Act as a primary interface with our customer’s engineering team for assigned programs.
• Establish plans and lead development activities with cross-functional team to meet program milestones including design reviews, prototype and pilot sample deliveries, software delivery and testing, production launch readiness, and PPAP.
• Manage the development process from business award to start of production including changes in scope. Facilitate post-production changes with “cradle-to-grave” program responsibility
• Deliver components, features, and systems within target costs and development budgets
• Coordinate the activities of support groups such as manufacturing, quality, and purchasing in support of assigned programs, identifying and escalating potential problems in sufficient time for corrective actions to be implemented.
Must have the following skills, abilities and knowledge:
• Prior experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams is required.
• Knowledge of the automotive development process, automotive electronics product development, and PMP certification are preferred.
• Experience with integrated hardware and software development is preferred.
Qualifications:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in electrical acoustics, or similar.
• A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Requires five to ten years of project engineering or program management experience in an automotive environment.
