Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will be responsible to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine and communicate business needs, so that technical delivery teams can build effective advertising solutions. In this role, the business analyst will gain detailed understanding of customer needs, business vision and strategy and will prioritize investment, business value and delivery deadlines. Successful execution of this role will combine sharp understanding of business needs, processes and technical delivery complexities, outstanding communication skills and the ability to anticipate future business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Engage business owners to understand business strategy, vision and customer needs
• Document application, product and process requirements as well as optimize process efficiency and user experience
• Serve as the business team representative in scrum teams and reinforce customer focus and orientation throughout the delivery life cycle
• Define success metrics and risk factors with business stakeholders and delivery teams
• Support business case preparation and application/process profitability analysis
• Prioritize the delivery of new features and defect fixes and plan and maintain the application and product roadmaps
• Design and implement an effective collaboration between business stakeholders and delivery teams
• For agile projects, manage, lead the grooming and the prioritization of the backlog and user stories to maximize the business value of software engineering. Manage sprint prioritization activities.
Qualifications:
• Experience in one or more product/process categories:
• Sales proposal generation / configure, price, quote
• E-Commerce / Self-service
• Inventory management
• Order management
• Booking / Scheduling
• Sales process automation / CRM
• Familiarity with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into high quality technical requirements
• Familiarity with agile processes and tools (JIRA)
• Ability to productively use office applications for project management and data analysis and presentation
• Ability to establish a data-driven culture and a repeatable, structured and disciplined approach to the full application development lifecycle.
Experience:
• B.S. in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related technical field
• 5+ years experience in process optimization, product management or business analyst roles
• 3+ years experience working in agile, cloud based environments
• Experience in the advertising industry is a plus
