Position Overview
Canon, U. S. A., Inc. is currently hiring for our 2018 Canon Insights Intern Program. The Insights Program is a comprehensive program that runs for 10 weeks during the summer. This is a full-time (9 AM to 5 PM), 35 hours a week, paid internship. This program is designed to provide students an opportunity to gain hands-on work experience by participating in significant work projects and exposure to various business units within Canon.
Responsibilities
Position/Project Description:
• Analyze various data points to identify most common tasks customers do on our website. Take these tasks and create flowcharts for various processes by using MS Visio or any other similar application. If time permits, create these process flows in our system for customers to follow for self service opportunities.
• Looking at survey data and other customer analytics data to identify non supported operating systems by product line. Provide research data (based on analysis of these data points) to present recommended approach for non-supported products.
Qualifications
We prefer students that are entering their Junior or Senior year as of the Summer 2018, however, all are welcome to apply. To succeed in the Insights Program, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power point, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We also require candidates to be enrolled in a related major in the department of interest and have some former work or internship experience.
Qualifications (majors, computer skills, language skills):
• Seeking for a Computer science major with business analyst skills (or business analysis skills with computer science minor).
• Web user interface design skills are a plus.
• Recommended Skills: Excel, Visio or any related software, communication skills, problem- solving skills & critical thinking skills.
