Who You Are:
You're an experienced and progressive HR leader and a credible business partner, coach and mentor. You have a strong consultative style, broad HR generalist skills gained in a leadership role, and experience working as an autonomous leader and managing remote teams, ideally in a fast paced, matrixed media or technology business. Within that environment, you have built strong relationships with different stakeholder groups. You are pragmatic and innovative in your approach and are not afraid to challenge the status quo, acting as a role model of our company values (our ‘Leadership Principles’) and best practice leadership. You’re well versed in change management and are a strong communicator.
You’re excited about joining an industry leader and to be a part of a talented, driven HR team supporting an organization of almost 1,000 cross-functional staff, based in 11 locations across North America. You'll be reporting to the CHRO, based in New York, and will be part of the company’s senior leadership team.
Your Next Challenge:
Based in our Seattle office, you will lead our Americas HR team to provide regional expertise (both tactical and strategic) for 11 offices, whilst partnering closely with global HR colleagues, as we strive to be one of the best places to work globally. You will also be the strategic business partner for the CTO, General Counsel, and Head of Product, all based in the Seattle market.
• Lead, develop and inspire a team of HR practitioners based across the Americas region to deliver excellent support to leaders and employees, adding value to the business.
• Act as a strategic talent broker and business partner for the CTO, General Counsel and Head of Product in the Seattle market.
• Drive global HR strategy in region, in partnership with the global HR leadership team, ensuring that strategies and programs are aligned with business goals.
• Provide consultative HR partnerships at all levels within the business. Partner closely with global HR colleagues to provide seamless service to the business.
• Manage, coach and develop the HR Managers/ HRBPs based in our Seattle, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Calgary offices.
• Drive organizational change initiatives across the regional business, in partnership with global HR colleagues.
• Act as a change agent and proactively recommend practice changes and innovative approaches to address management and business objectives.
• Collaborate with the Global HR team in rolling out projects and initiatives, ensuring that they are locally relevant (i.e. Annual Reward Cycle, Engagement Survey, Leadership Development, Mentoring, Onboarding initiatives, etc.).
• Drive our global Diversity and Inclusion strategy across region.
• Embed our Getty Images culture and values (our ‘Leadership Principles’) across the region, acting as a role model and champion.
What You’ll Need:
• Proven HR leadership experience ideally gained in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Commercial business acumen – an ability to understand the needs of the business and recommend HR solutions that add value. Ability to maximize leadership and employee effectiveness.
• Significant people management experience working for a global company, with direct oversight of multiple locations. Comfortable with remote-site management.
• Self-motivation/energy – must be able to demonstrate initiative and be proactive with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Experience having worked in an autonomous role would be an advantage.
• Passion to contribute and influence at all levels. Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain objective and diplomatic are essential.
• Ability to use data to tell a compelling story is important. Ability to demonstrate sound decision making based on the right mix of data and experience. In-depth knowledge of a global HRIS system, e.g. Workday, would be advantageous.
• Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification or equivalent post-graduate qualification preferred.
