Senior Vice President of Sales – Western Region
Position Description
Taylor Communications is seeking a Senior Vice President of Sales who will be responsible for the successful achievement of revenue, gross margin, and general management of the Western sales region. The position is responsible for continued growth and success by ensuring our short and long-term revenue and profit expansion.
Responsibilities include:
• Develops and executes the sales strategies and plans necessary to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the organization
• Understands market conditions, industry trends, competitor activity and leading customer strategies
• Ensures effective management of all sales activity and pipeline progression in Salesforce.com
• Ensure all sales data within Salesforce.com is accurate and up to date
• Plans and directs all sales policies, objectives, and initiatives in order to drive successful sales outcomes
• Manages key customer relationships and participates in closing strategic opportunities
• Works closely with marketing, solution management and client services to establish successful support strategies and programs
• Leads and motivates the sales team toward profitable revenue growth
• Successfully manages sales budget
• Recommends sales compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve business and individual sales goals
• Develop sales managers into effective sales coaches to optimize team and individual quota attainment
• Develop and maintain an effective sales organization through on-going selection, training, and coaching of sales managers and their teams
• Creates a culture of winning and ongoing business and individual goal achievement
• Strives to assure Taylor is recognized as an employer of choice
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with at least 15 years of direct sales in the field and 5 years of sales management experience
• Demonstrated successful track record of sales goal achievement and executing sales plans including quotas and strategic account objectives with overachievement emphasized
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate the highest degree of business integrity and trust building internal and external customers
• Strong financial and business acumen
• Strong leadership and relationship skills; the ability to drive results and be personally accountable for outcomes
• Track record of success
• Demonstrated experience leading in complex organizations managing multiple priorities,
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver clear and concise presentations
• Ability to influence with and without authority
• Accomplished mentor and coach
• Solution driven problem solver
