Job purpose
Accountable for partnering with senior business stakeholders and the SVP, People to establish and implement a robust people strategy in support of the overall business strategy.
The People Director will be part of the People Leadership Team working collaboratively across the region with the broader People team in Latin America and the Caribbean to drive critical people interventions that impact across borders.
This transformational role, will work across all aspects of the people strategy and agenda with a strong focus on Organisation Design, Development and Talent as well as Operational Excellence.
Key Accountabilities
• Partner with senior leader/s to drive and implement the people strategy that supports the functional business strategy, whilst aligning to the wider Lilac Strategy.
• Build a strong relationship with the senior leadership team in order to partner them.
• Lead key projects and people interventions across the region with a particular focus on those with cross border impact
• Provide a strong People leadership presence for the LiLac team based in Denver, acting as a strong control point, partnering across the functions advising on all People Matters
• Promote a high performance culture and ensure talent is identified and developed to contribute to our competitive edge. Manage and act as a point person for internal talent moves, both across the Region and into Liberty Global Europe
• Supporting the Lilac Reward strategy ensuring current practices are fit for purpose supporting the business strategy.
• Analyze and drive improvements in all aspects of people management including engagement, attrition, attendance management, reward and recognition; resourcing and benchmarking.
• Owns the development, implementation and evaluation of people initiatives and ensures appropriate resourcing and delivery. This includes the delivery of all cyclical people activity for the division. For example: annual salary review, bonus; performance management and engagement activities.
• Accountable for the creation of full client group cyclical resource plans ensuring we have sight of future resourcing activity and requirements across the function(s) and in line with budget.
• Work collaboratively across the People Team to support and project manage cross-People Team initiatives e.g. talent and succession management, leadership development etc.
• Ensure a strong customer-focused people service is delivered to the business and that each People experience is consistent and high quality.
• Review and improve organizational design within the function to ensure maximum efficiency together with the highest standards of alignment to business strategy.
• Review and manage all Regional People processes to ensure fit for purpose, cost effective, compliant and drives the right behavior.
• Awareness of external trends & best practices, sharing knowledge & making recommendations both within the function/division and wider people team.
Knowledge and Experience
Preferred education/ qualifications:
Previous experience in a senior generalist role in a commercial environment
Experience across the full HR lifecycle in particular OD and Talent, as well as People Operations
GPHR qualified
Knowledge & Experience:
• Personable, energetic with a can-do attitude. Pragmatic, able to work with pace in an ambiguous environment
• Strong coaching, facilitation and consultancy skills with a proven track record of being able to influence at all levels and especially the Executive level.
• Highly skilled at managing relationships and conflicting priorities at a senior level.
• Strong functional HR knowledge; brings expertise and high standards to the function. Brings credibility, gravitas and impact
• Able to work autonomously, navigating and influencing across a complex matrix at a senior level across a global footprint.
• Able to translate business strategy into people strategy and create measurable solutions that deliver tangible value.
• A high level of skills in managing major organizational change via organization development processes, strong organization design expertise desirable.
• A thorough understanding of People policies and procedures, best practice and current thinking regarding effective and commercially sound employment practices.
• Role model and champion for leadership behaviors and ways of working.
