Job Description:
The Audio Buyer Intern’s role is to gain an understanding of the audio landscape and negotiation. This includes marketplace trends and a holistic top-line view of all audio platforms including AM/FM radio, digital audio, satellite, podcasting & HD Radio.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• o 70% - Administrative Task
◦ 10% - Client Management Task
◦ 10%- Networking
◦ 10% - Training & development Task
Assist Senior Buyer & Audio Buyer with day-to-day administrative duties.
• o Responsibilities include ordering & confirming orders, handling makegoods, monitoring placement of scheduled spots, maintaining added value and billing reconciliation.
◦ Learn & understand media terminology
◦ Review & understand buying guideline (goals & objectives) with buyer
• o Emphasis on digital audio & programmatic planning & buying
◦ Implement work-related goals established by buyer/brand team on behalf of clients
◦ Establish & maintain business relationship with vendor partners
◦ Maintain accurate buy files with financial information to align with buying system

Knowledge and Skills Required
Excellent math skills and experience in Excel are a must. Previous internships in media, marketing or extracurricular activities, including membership to professional societies, are a plus, but not required. Candidates should be organized, motivated, detail oriented, and able to multi-task.

Physical Activity and Work Environment
Normal walking activity to conduct business throughout Horizon’s multi-floor office
