The Senior Manager, Product Analytics, provides in-depth analyses and reporting to key stakeholders across Product, Design and Engineering to help achieve revenue and traffic goals across the Conde Nast network. The Senior Manager will be responsible for evangelizing the use of online analytics for more insight-based business decisions, both strategic and tactical, while serving as the analytic subject matter expert to various levels of business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be someone who is highly quantitative, who is also nimble and creative with the ability to think critically and incorporate data and testing into the decision-making process. Expertise with digital analytic tools is a must but we are also looking for people who are curious, motivated and entrepreneurial.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Understand how users interact with various site features and provide deep insights around product use and performance
• Leverage the product roadmap to define success metrics and monitor product performance against them through dashboards and ad hoc analysis
• Provide analytical support and recommendation for the planning and building of services that deepen the relationships between users and Conde Nast’s brands
• Inject consumer behavior data across the digital product development cycle
• Partner with key stakeholders to prioritize asks based on highest potential value added
• Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to build and maintain regular reporting and self-service data products that will allow Product, Design and Engineering to easily get a read on product performance, user flow and KPI trends
• Support and guide the development of A/B and multivariate testing plans to boost product performance
Required Skills:
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in analyzing large data sets and synthesizing insights into actionable product recommendations
• Hands-on experience with reporting and analysis with a major web analytics tool such as Omniture or Google Analytics
• Proficient in using SQL-based exploratory analytics tools; familiarity with Python and R is a plus
• Experience with A/B testing and statistical significance techniques such as t-test, ANOVA, correlation etc
• Ability to clearly articulate and present initiatives to creative and technical teams alike
• Entrepreneurial, digitally savvy, creative and experimental in the approach to problem solving, with exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
