The Inside Sales- Inbound Sales Specialist is responsible for developing and driving sales to assigned school districts and other education customers in the U.S. to substantially increase Pearson Classroom Assessment market penetration and volumes in our traditional CAP solution. Leveraging unique-to-Pearson assets and forging connections globally in these market spaces are key to this position. The Inside Sales-Inbound Sales Specialist is also responsible for receiving inbound calls, qualifying and building relationships with existing and new customers, including senior level administrators. The Inside Sales-Inbound Sales Specialist is also responsible for developing of sales, training and implementation of our traditional CAP solutions and to cooperate with Product Management and Marketing to find premier business development opportunities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. 80% Inside Sales
• Work directly with customers via telephone to describe products and/or services in order to persuade potential and current customers to purchase new products and/or services
• Educates customers on product offerings and services to improve their "on-line presence" and explains pricing and answers questions from customers building value in the customer relationship.
• Follows up with customer via telephone or email following initial sales contact.
• Identifies customer issues and provides appropriate solutions via up sell of additional products and or services and obtains customer commitment
• Perform effective online demos to prospects
• Establish relationships with key decision makers and other appropriate Executive level positions
• Work closely with product management, marketing and legal teams
• Attend industry conferences or trade shows as assigned
• Attain quarterly and annual financial goals set by Pearson Classroom Assessment
• Establish and maintain relationships with client personnel through formal and informal interactions
• Identify new or additional solutions and services that could benefit clients, and profitably increase account revenue
• Work with Pearson Classroom Assessment functional personnel to qualify the opportunity, and where appropriate submit proposals for the work to the customer
• Communicate significant account news to all affected departments within Pearson Classroom Assessment on a timely basis
• Track, document and communicate new client requirements to development and other functions that must be kept aware of emerging requirements to allow Pearson Classroom Assessment to meet customer needs and to allow Pearson Classroom Assessment to stay at the forefront in these markets.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, provide sales forecasts, and participate in monthly business reviews
• Establish and maintain relationships with client personnel through formal and informal interactions
• Identify new or additional solutions and services that could benefit clients, and profitably increase account revenue
• Work with Pearson Classroom Assessment functional personnel to qualify the opportunity, and where appropriate submit proposals for the work to the customer

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred/or equivalent experience
• 2 years sales experience minimum
• 1 year experience with inbound customer contact experience receiving dozens of call per day
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com preferred
