We are seeking a Sales Managerto join our sales team based in Westminster. This position will be responsible for selling Knopf/Doubleday adult imprints and select client publisher adult titles and imprints to new and existing accounts within an assigned territory.
Specifically, the Sales Manager will:
1. Conduct outreach to accounts to sell frontlist titles on a seasonal basis and actively solicit reorders.
2. Maintain knowledge of account base and address customer needs.
3. Provide information to accounts regarding terms, publicity & marketing plans, policies & promotions based on account location and customer base.
4. Work closely with booksellers to develop the most effective marketing methods and promotions based on account location and customer base.
5. Communicate with the Sales Director, the publishers, and internal sales teams, and coordinate with Penguin Random House sales counterparts to maximize growth.

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience; retail bookstore experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of and passion for books
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including follow-up
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Works well independently and in a team setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to travel periodically to trade shows, conferences, and accounts as needed
