Job Description and Responsibilities:

Responsible for establishing FF&E orders and maintaining strong work relationships with vendors, fellow team members, and other departments in order to complete the assigned projects on time and under budget.
Job Responsibilities:
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
• Coordinate and support the bidding process with the project support team.
• Familiarity with bid lists for specified commodities based on experience and manufacturing methods.
• Opportunity to visit factories to ensure the quality of goods and the efficiency of the manufacturing process.
• Reliable and familiar knowledge of the project status including budget, deliveries, and schedule.
• Generally understands the complete flow of the purchasing process and how each function relates.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION
• Attend various meetings for projects and departmental updates.
• Negotiate pricing and recommend selected vendors best suited for the order.
• Independently prepare purchase orders and change orders with appropriate documentation and detail.
• Expedite orders placed by the project team to ensure the schedule and budget restraints are being followed, including proper documentation and updating of the expediting reports.
• Effectively communicate information related to purchase orders to vendors and other members of the project team.
• Manage vendor submittals with Interiors and research product efficiencies.
• Execute tasks assigned by senior members of the project team in an efficient and timely manner.
• Ability to identify and resolve specification shortfalls and/or manufacturing issues.
• Ability to manage 1-2 mid-level projects independently.
PROJECT COMPLETION
• Inspect goods to maintain the high standards necessary for a 5 star property.
• Independently manage onsite project installation by interfacing with construction management and contractors.
• Participates and contributes to project “close out” procedures.
STAFFING
• Supervises project support staff of 1-2 members including daily direction of tasks, training, and workload management
Job Requirements:
• Leads, maintains and promotes exceptional integrity and reputation of the department.
• Assists in training and supervision of support team.
• Maintains strict confidentiality outside the company of all program design, sources and schedules.
• Ability and positive willingness and duty to work the work varying schedules and hours required to meet the business needs of the project at hand, including travel when necessary. A 45-50 hour work week is typical.
• Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and insure effective two way and multicultural communications among all WDD disciplines as well as the Operational team, vendor base, and service providers.
• Accept any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Vice President or Director of Purchasing or Purchasing Manager as required to insure delivery and installation of all required FFE within project schedules and budgets.
• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Two years of FF&E purchasing or related experience or education required.
• Manufacturing knowledge of FF&E construction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft office programs.
• Impeccable integrity and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Team player that thrives in a high pressure work environment.
