Job Description
KCEN-TV – KCEN HD is looking for an innovative and experienced Digital Sales Manager who has had proven success launching, managing and executing strategic objectives to exceed digital revenue goals including broadcast news websites, mobile platforms, outside vendor partnerships, Targeted Display, SEO/SEM and Social.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• This manager will be accountable for all local digital revenue performance for KCEN and KAGS; working both strategically and tactically with other account executives and sales managers within the station. This person also must be able to build and maintain a separate digital sales list outside the station’s master client list to ensure revenue success.
• This individual will ensure the sales force is driving new digital sales (by assessing and facilitating the use of best practices in solutions based selling), up-sell of existing key account advertisers, while driving retention, and minimizing product cannibalization.
• This individual needs to be adept at creating innovative multimedia recommendations that integrate proof of performance strategies, indicating engagement and interaction between the client message and potential customers.
• This manager will help to deliver training for local account executives and programs.
• The individual will be held accountable by performance by reviewing digital metrics, including forecasting to maximize opportunities and determine areas for improvement.
• Position reports to the Director of Sales.
Job Requirements
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years digital sales experience (with a focus on local) along with digital sales management experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge of all facets of digital sales and marketing. Product knowledge must include: Targeted display, Social, SEO & SEM.
• Adept at creating new revenue opportunities from synergies between interactive sales and other mediums (broadcast, radio, print, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must have advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and follow-through projects to completion.
• Strong presenter and communicator with internal and external customers and partners.
• Must be able to travel within a large DMA and outside seminars, training etc.…
