The job:
The Senior Manager, Event Marketing will report to the Associate Director, Events and will assist in planning, developing & conducting client events for TIME, focused on promoting a positive image of the organization and its business partners. The Senior Manager, Event Marketing will organize event logistics, as well as manage advertiser relationships and sponsor activations for each client event. Key to this position is a proactive and solutions oriented style, excellent communication and computer skills with a rigorous attention to detail. Candidates must have ability to manage multiple demands under pressure, interact with senior management and handle confidential information.
You will:
• Manage and produce events including the TIME 100 and TIME Dealer of the Year
• Independently manage assigned event logistics for brand/client events for TIME including hotel blocks, ground transportation, staffing plans, registration process, budgets, supplies and shipping, catering, décor and rentals
• Lead the day-to-day management of the major TIME events overseeing timelines and deadlines, communicating regularly with marketing and sales, TIME’s sponsor partners, as well as high level participants
• Work directly with clients to deliver sponsor activations and ensure client expectations are met
• Partner with PR and edit teams to bring editorial initiatives to life through strategic programming at signature events
• Liaise with Creative Services and oversee design elements i.e. collateral/signage, artwork, promotional items, evites as they pertain to events
• Manage vendor and production company relationships and contracts, invoices, etc.
• Create, manage, and reconcile event budgets
• Support the Executive Director, Event Marketing and team in analyzing/being current on industry trends and event marketing programs across competitive categories and properties as well as new venues, appropriate vendors, production companies, technology, etc.
• Travel domestically
You are:
• Proven: You have five plus years of event marketing/marketing experience, preferably in media/advertising.
• A team player: A self-starter who is also extremely innovative, professional and resourceful. You have exceptional interpersonal skills and people trust you implicitly.
• Experienced: You have a Bachelor’s degree as well as proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook. You’re an independent thinker that can make decisions in a live event environment. You also have a solid understanding of event operations, strategy and integrated event marketing.
• Organized:You have a laser-sharp eye for detail and can manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. You’re adept at scheduling meetings and using your organizational skills to ensure all project timelines are met.
• A Strong Communicator:You are known internally and externally for quick responses, your ability to put together excellent marketing materials, concise emails and the ability to solve problems quickly and clearly. You can communicate effectively with diverse departments and personalities.
