Responsible for implementing direct marketing programs for SeaWorld and Aquatica San Diego. Provide critical support in managing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program, supporting the Manager in building an annual strategic and tactical plan. Accountable for planning and execution of all email marketing programs, focusing on acquisition, increasing open rates, clicks and revenue generation. Responsible for implementing the digital content marketing strategy to include input into website content for SeaWorld & Aquatica San Diego and co-op referral partner sites. Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
Principal Duties:
• Oversee the implementation of CRM with focus on optimizing revenue through email communication programs.
• Optimize existing campaign automation to maximize revenues.
• Leverage guest behavioral insights to develop new trigger campaigns.
• Generate & analyze guest data segmentation in order to optimize future campaigns.
• Develop and execute annual email marketing plan utilizing email communication tools to increase brand awareness.
Implement and oversee all aspects of email marketing campaigns from design, writing & technical development.
• Drive email collection & acquisition.
• Build and execute email marketing calendar, content integration, distribution and reporting.
• Create compelling reasons within email marketing campaigns to drive interest and visits.
• Generate & analyze email data from each campaign to identify strengths & weaknesses in order to better optimize future campaigns.
• Coordinate with Manager to promote SeaWorld through engaging content. Duties can include but not limited to strategy, implementation, management, and monitoring.
• Liaison to traffic & execute projects for online content development, and other digital platforms.
• Create compelling content graphics and copy within the park’s website marketing campaigns to drive interest, conversion, and attendance.
• Execute content plan & publications according to calendar and monitor results.
• Consult & collaborate with Social Media Associate Manager on Social Media communication priorities.
• Partner with Park Support Center and Park counterparts to ensure best practices are being implemented for maximum program growth.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related business field required.
• 3 years experience in consumer direct marketing and email/CRM marketing required.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and design templates for email preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong background in analyzing data, A/B testing and list segmentation.
• Knowledge of email best practices and domestic/international CAN-SPAM laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a proven ability in email and content marketing.
• Proven email marketing experience and able to manage multiple complex projects to completion while seizing emerging opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong understanding of email copy writing strategies and the ability to adapt communication style to a number of different audiences.
• Manage and prioritize diverse projects.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and periodicals.
• Write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Effectively present information to individuals and groups.
• Positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages, and individuals with special needs.
• Lift 20 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
Availability:
• Must have 5 days of unrestricted availability to include weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings.
Hours:
• 40 hours plus overtime when needed.
