Description
The Position:
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for the Finance team. The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for providing key insights into business performance and providing analysis to support decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support quarterly P&L forecast assumptions, focusing on the analysis of key historical and predictive business information, ensuring accuracy of financial results, appropriateness of future financial commitments, and explanations of variances to plan.
• Lead the coordination of the annual budgeting process, including analysis used to build financial models around new initiative product plans, targets and resource requirements.
• Work with business units on the development of operational reporting requirements and coordinate report creation with the Business Intelligence team.
• Monitor daily/weekly operational reports, proactively research material variances and communicate findings as necessary.
• Provide ad-hoc and recurring analytic support for product planning, marketing, engineering resource planning, and corporate development.
• Assist in market sizing, competitive analysis and industry research in support of revenue projections, product positioning, and corporate development.
• Analyze operating results including revenue, trends and expense drivers.
• Suggest improvements in cost controls.
• Liaison with accounting on monthly close process and financial reporting.
• Assist on ad hoc projects, models and analysis as needed.
Core Competencies
• 6+ years in a financial planning or financial analysis role.
• Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Comfortable manipulating large sets of data and ability to highlight key trends & metrics.
• Solid presentation and written communication skills required.
• Self-starter capable of results without significant supervision and effective in dealing with ambiguity.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; MBA or CPA a plus.
• Proficiency/experience with Intacct a plus.
• Gaming or media industry experience a plus.
