Position Type: Regular - Full-Time
Position Summary:
The Royalties Coordinator will research sound recordings, metadata, and copyrights to facilitate accurate and timely payment of royalties to rights owners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Research sound recording and music copyrights using a combination of internal and external data sources, and update systems with research findings.
• Acquire, review, approve, and upload metadata and copyright information from rights owners. Work directly with rights owners to resolve technical or metadata issues.
• Generate and perform quality assurance on reports of use for internal and external audiences.
• Work with other coordinators, project-based research contractors, third-party vendors, and rights owners to continuously improve research and reporting process. Specific focus on identifying errors, conflicts, and inconsistencies with internal and external data.
• Work with multiple teams as new systems are developed and deployed into production to test integrity and accuracy of data and reports.
• Use existing data and reports to support Music Licensing team on maintaining existing business and increasing new business.

• None.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• One or more years of experience in music fields such as radio, record labels, music publishers, digital service provider or other music licensee.

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Strong interest in, and knowledge of music and sound recordings, both the history of recorded music, and the current musical landscape, across multiple genres.
• Occasional Travel to our NY Studios.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience with XML preferred.
• Experience working with software development teams preferred.
• Experience with web-based workflow management preferred.
• Knowledge of content management and/or broadcast automation systems preferred.
