We are looking for a strategic, self-driven Project Manager to work out of our Chandler, AZ office location. This role will be responsible for the coordinated management of the implementation and release of targeted requirements across multiple programs.
Additionally in this support role, one will work with constituent Program Leads and Project Managers, including functional managers and subject-matter experts, to track, manage, and accurately report status on these requirements. Responsibilities include identifying, monitoring and communicating the interdependencies across multiple work streams. You will interact with managers and staff from all functional areas working on the planning and development of programs, driving risk mitigation strategies.
What you will be doing…
• Engage senior management sponsors in a collaborative, confident, professional and influential manner
• Work closely and collaborate with senior management sponsors to develop project and program objectives, deliverables, scope and structure
• Support product development initiatives, promoting cross-functional collaboration and integration while achieving targeted benefits and goals
• Support in a tech-based product environment; requirements analysis, product design, change management, configuration management, testing and deployment
• Ensure plans and solutions take a systems view of product development where all deliverables are planned and executed as integrated components
• Recommend improvements to project management policies and guidelines
What we are looking for…
Our ideal candidate will have broad project management expertise and deep knowledge of print and digital product development and software development lifecycles. You will use your skills to contribute to the development of company objectives/principles, and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Having a financial background is an added plus to prepare budgets and analyze data!
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Experience:
• 5+ years project management, operations, or strategy analyst experience
• Experience in project managing large complex projects ($1m+/yr) to a successful conclusion
• Demonstrated experience in print/digital product development (deep knowledge; associated processes and typical challenges)
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving, development and maintenance of schedules of varying granularity, utilizing data in decision-making
• Comfortable working in tech-based product environment usually associated with software development to include requirements analysis, product design, change and configuration management, testing and deployment
• Ability to lead project planning in a wide cross-functional environment
• Ability to establish management processes for the program, provide performance reporting, educate the organization on Project Management, drive schedule and sub-schedule creation and adherence, demonstrate high ethics and values; knowledge of methods, processes, tools, etc. associated with software development
• Sufficient product and process knowledge to support decomposition, planning, assessment of progress and an ability to manage risks
• Strong communication skills presenting to all stakeholders across functional departments and with senior management
• Negotiation/persuasive collaboration
• Process analysis, documentation and mapping strengths
• Ability to perform well under pressure
Formal Education or Equivalent:
• Minimum BA/BS in a Project Management, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Computer Science, Logistics, or education related discipline
• PMP Certification or certification as Scrum Master a plus!
• Process Management and/or certification desired!
• Expertise in Lean and/or Six Sigma is preferred!
