Director, Key Accounts, Hearst Digital Media
Hearst Digital Media is seeking a Director, Marketing for the Key Accounts group. The successful candidate will act as dedicated marketing partner to a senior Sales Director overseeing four priority key accounts across beauty, home, personal care and tech categories. This Associate Director will be responsible for developing strategic marketing solutions that will drive profitable business growth for Hearst Digital Media across our 22 brands. The Director is responsible for being able to speak to and ideate against all of Hearst’s digital sites as well as develop strategic media, distribution and targeting solutions. This position will also manage 1 marketer, overseeing their professional development and be responsible for the their output and success. We are seeking candidates that have 6+ years of marketing experience preferably at a digital company, with experience specifically in proposal writing, working with clients, and thinking creatively.
What are the goals of the role:
• Develop best-in-class proposals for top-tier and high-revenue RFPs, RFIs and proactive asks
• Oversee the development of two marketers; cultivate a positive team work environment as well as implement and enforce approved sales marketing strategies, policies and procedures
• Act as an expert in each site, successfully navigating and communicating each brands’ nuances
• Draft general presentations and high-level marketing and sales collateral
• Act as key digital resource in client meetings in partnership with both Digital and Integrated Sales representatives
• Own and foster key internal relationships across Print, Project Management, Account Management, Editorial, Content and Video Studios and the Hearst Auto Group
• Participate in internal and external (client-facing) kick-off meetings
What are the responsibilities of the role:
• Lead a best-in-class marketing team
• Respond to in-bound RFPs and drive the creation of proactive opportunities with creativity and out-of-the-box thinking in partnership with Ad Product & Solutions, Content Marketing, Editorial, Ad Operations, Media Planning, Project Management and Integrated colleagues
• Bring Marketing solutions to life in a compelling pitch deck that strongly articulates the reason for and benefit of the proposed strategy
• Attend client meetings to present digital opportunities as needed
• Develop expertise at a category and client level and share knowledge and best practices across the larger marketing team
• Facilitate turnover of sold digital programs to Post-Sale leads. Stay connected to sold programs throughout the execution phase to ensure quality of execution and program success
• Stay abreast of the marketplace competition and digital innovations

• Always seeks to act as a partner and resource for Sales Directors
• Has strong prioritization and time management skills (manage to multiple deadlines and meeting requests across departments)
