Maximize WMG digital revenue and market share through optimization and streamlined communications globally across digital accounts and label partners.
Why this could be your next big break:
Director, Digital Accounts, Global will manage all aspects of WMG’s partnership with Facebook to insure optimization across commercial, marketing, and operational aspects.
Here you’ll get to:
• Act as global lead for Facebook account management at WMG
• Identify and develop opportunities for WMG content on Facebook and related services
• Create best practices for engaging with the Facebook platform and facilitate dialogue worldwide to enhance visibility and engagement
• Initiate research to understand user behaviors, content utilization, and engagement tactics
• Develop and maintain best practices document covering all engagement and consumer interaction touchpoints including Live, Bots, Messenger, Video, 360, Page customization, contests, CTA/post optimization, apps, Creator tools and more
• Insure all labels and WEA are fully briefed on marketing initiatives and opportunities
• Develop and maintain similar overviews for other channels such as Instagram, including best practices on post frequency, boosting tactics, Stories, and more
• Understand and articulate findings/best practices on Audience insights, Advertising and targeting/retargeting for optimal audience engagement for WMG artists/content
• Work closely with R&A to understand and articulate key findings from available data
• Lead global initiatives and strategic rollouts with international account managers/marketing teams for new release and catalog campaigns
• Support labels/repertoire owners in communicating and executing key release plans
• Liaise with operational team on content protection/content management practices
• Engage with Facebook music teams to support label/artist campaigns
• Provide insights to playlisting team for optimization of ad targeting/audience building via playlist campaigns
• Identify platform changes that will improve profile of WMG artists/music
• Develop relationships throughout the Facebook organization and use those relationships to gain a broader understanding of the platform
• Facilitate and participate in all appropriate label and Facebook meetings
• Recap meetings where appropriate and support/track follow through as needed
• Work with labels to get appropriate personnel to events at Facebook or offsite
• Identify and evaluate competitive initiatives
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
• Collaborate with labels in development, negotiation, and execution sales and marketing programs.
• Create, present, and execute creative marketing plans in order to achieve specific goals with regard to new releases and catalog.
• Manage the complete and timely flow of communication between WEA, our label partners, the account and international.
• Maintain superior understanding of accounts’ major marketing initiatives, systems, and logistical processes.
• Conduct formal weekly presentations for new products to accounts’ editorial staff and marketing departments.
• Responsible for developing strong relationships at every level of the account.
• This includes senior management, the editorial, marketing, operations, logistics, credit, and finance teams.
• Offer intelligence on account SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats)
• Consistently inform WEA management of all competitive policies and practices, conduct ongoing analysis of product sales, and make recommendations to account to mutually grow our businesses.
• Leverage owned and distributed label content together to gain best access and placements/sales.
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• A passion and interest in developing artists and music
• An understanding of digital music services
• A strong working knowledge of ad-supported platforms, social networks and the monetization of these platforms
• Ability to lead, educate, and encourage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to take direction and execute specific outlined initiatives
• Ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred
• 5+ years sales experience as a primary account manager or similar position
• Digital sales experience preferred
