Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for organizing, storing and retrieving digital media assets and working with various groups to ensure accurate and complete metadata associations in the digital asset management (DAM) system.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Knowledge of metadata best practices and techniques
• Experience with digital asset management systems
Duties and responsibilities:
• Maintain organization of digital assets in DAM system
• Conduct data analysis of metadata for assets including; photos, logos, audio files, etc.
• Work closely with professionals in a fast-paced production driven environment to augment, enhance and reuse metadata for enhancing search and recommendation output
• Liaise with Programming and creative services departments for creation, sizing and association of images for new shows and episodes
• Maintain awareness of social network trends in order to assist in guiding best practices use of digital assets and associated metadata
• Perform QA of visual assets
• Provide additional data entry for improving user experience across streaming platform
• Migrate digital files from various systems into DAM infrastructure
• Conduct beta testing for new versions of web and mobile applications
Requirements and General Skills:
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic organizational, descriptive, structural metadata standards and best-practices
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and computer/technological skills
• Awareness of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) practices
• Off-business hours support including some weekends is possible
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities
• Attentiveness to detail and quality
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Firm understanding of deep linking technologies
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop and/or Audio and Moving Image software programs
