Position Summary:
The Coordinator of Content Discovery will be responsible for managing, implementing, and developing services for improving the streaming content experience, working with various groups to ensure metadata associations are accurate and optimized for powering search and recommendation results, and working with content programmers to curate content in the SiriusXM app.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience.
• Knowledge of current audio and video media landscape.
• Experience with metadata and content management systems.
• Broadcast/digital media experience a plus.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Liaise with Programming, Interactive, Promotions, and Marketing to curate and maintain a rotating schedule of featured audio and video content.
• Work closely with professionals in a fast-paced production driven environment to augment, enhance and reuse metadata for enhancing search and recommendation output.
• Coordinate regular testing of search and recommendation output to help guide iterative improvement of algorithms.
• Use proprietary data visualization systems to guide search and recommendation algorithms with support from supervisor.
• Provide additional data entry for improving user experience across streaming platform.
• Perform daily QA of user experience to ensure high quality content output.
• Conduct beta testing for new versions of web and mobile applications.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Experience with content management systems.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic standards and best-practices for descriptive metadata.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and computer/technological skills.
• Awareness of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities.
• Attentiveness to detail and quality.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop and/or Audio and Moving Image software programs.
