Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the myCME team. This position will require regular travel between our New York, NY and Paramus, NJ offices.
Job Overview:
The Senior Product Manager, myCME is responsible for the visual and functional presentation of myCME to its members, customers, and stakeholders and owns the myCME user experience. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for liaising with on and/or off shore development teams to translate myCME's business needs into reality through technology innovation and software development. The Senior Product Manager collaborates as needed with Editorial, Medical, Creative Services/Art, Program Management, Business Development, and other stakeholders within HME and Haymarket Media.
This position represents an opportunity for a tech-savvy and commercially focused individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to have a significant impact on the growth of the myCME brand through innovation and maintenance of the website and mobile application(s).
Responsibilities:
• Transform business and market strategies into achievable, defined product plans
• Lead market research and position conversations to ensure viable products and balanced growth
• Partner with key senior HME colleagues to develop and maintain a myCME product roadmap
• Lead the process and own the results of the development of new products and features for myCME; Succinctly define concepts and clearly document requirements; Produce wireframes where appropriate
• Integrate usability studies, member research and market analysis to improve and optimize the user experience and functionality of myCME
• Move projects swiftly and efficiently through the entire project lifecycle by interfacing directly with design, development and QA team
• Lead design review and UAT of products
• For each active project, establish a project plan with key milestones and timing and own it through project completion
• Monitor established products to ensure that they are meeting agreed KPls and evolving marketing needs
• Continuously monitor competitive websites and apps to identify and implement product enhancement opportunities that position and maintain myCME at the forefront of its industry
• Manage third party vendors as appropriate
Skills and Requirements:
• 5+ years of product management experience, preferably working for a media or education company on digital products such as websites, apps or similar offerings
• Solid grasp of web, mobile, app, and usability best practices
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; Experience with a/b testing and multivariate testing preferred
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Outgoing, strong personality with the self-confidence to effectively manage projects that include senior management participation
• Excellent organization and time management skills; Comfortable managing multiple tasks and able to prioritize responsibilities to meet deliverable deadlines
• Creativity to brainstorm and develop new software and technology solutions based on business needs
• Familiarity with digital analytics tools including Omniture & Google Analytics
• Experience with CMS and LMS systems preferred
• Experience with ecommerce functionality is a plus
• Experience with customer data platforms, including Lytics, a plus
