Job Description
Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking an
Temporary IT Events Managerfor its Information Technology, Infrastructure and Operations department in our San Francisco office. Working closely with our Events Team this position will be responsible for the IT & capture aspect of an event, from setting up networks, PC’s & capture equipment to evaluating success afterwards. IT understanding and technical experience is necessary for this position. This will be a 3-month temporary assignment.
The temp IT Event Manager must be well organized and competent in vendor management. Communication skills and attention to detail will set apart the best among the candidates. Supporting in excess of 50+ events a year the successful candidate must be willing to travel and be flexible to work extended hours during the week and weekends when needed.
When in the office you will be required to test new technologies and manage all IT and capture inventory related to events along with providing backup tier 1,2 & 3 IT support to the San Francisco Business Office and Production Studio . This position reports to the Manager of IT Infrastructure and Operations in the San Francisco office.
The goal is to organize unforgettable events that will ensure the entertainment of participants and facilitate the completion of business objectives.
Responsibilities
• Be customer liaison between Events team and IT team
• Work with Events Team on all things IT and Capture related
• Work with IT Vendors and Partners to implement solutions and improve processes
• Evaluate existing processes and change \ implement when needed
• Evaluate, test and implement new technologies
• Plan, track and manage the setup of each event (documentation, resources, timelines, shipping, responsibilities, etc.)
• Ensure IT staff are adequately provided for event support
• Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
• Train, and educate staff on proper event procedures
• Manage inventory & Asset Management in ServiceNow
• Setup & Install IT Equipment (PC’s, Laptops, Network)
• Setup & Install Capture Equipment (Game, Video, Audio)
• Maintain Desktop and Laptop Imaging Process
• Maintain Capture Process (Game, Face, Player Audio, Team Chat Audio)
• Work with Production Studios to obtain and test build capture
• Manage build installations (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, etc.)
• Provide backup Level 1,2 & 3 IT Support
• Audio Visual Equipment Support
• Contribute to the development & implementation of Infrastructure and Operations systems & processes
• Contribute to the creation and ongoing review of departmental reference documents and I&O intranet.
Qualifications
• 4 years minimum related experience required
• Proven experience as an IT Technician (Software, Hardware, Networking)
• Skilled in project management
• Excellent organizational skills

• A team player with leadership skills
