The Internship:
Live Nation is seeking a part-time Marketing Intern in our Houston office. US Concerts Internships are unpaid and students must receive college course credit.
Learning Objectives:
• Learn how to construct weekly press releases
• Review, edit and maintain media partner information
• Develop and maintain community partnerships
• Learn the importance of community outreach to further market upcoming shows
• Help escort press at certain upcoming shows
• Learn how a show settlement works
• Be exposed to a variety of marketing department activities
• Special projects
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Must be eligible for school credit (able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)
• Majoring in marketing, communications, business or a related field
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres, and an overall interest in learning about the music industry
• Must be able to commit to 16 - 20 hours per week
• Must have access to a personal vehicle
• Knowledge of social media sites and tools, and an active participant in social networking
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks
