Summary of Position:
Lionsgate has an immediate need for an Analyst/Sr. Analyst in the Worldwide Television Sales Planning & Operations department. The position will assist in coordinating all Domestic Television forecasting, planning, financial reporting and business reviews. This individual will work closely with Domestic Television Sales, Accounting, Servicing, Rights Management, and Financial Planning teams to streamline information flow and enhance reporting capabilities.
RESPONSILIBITIES AND TASKS:
• Track United States and Canada Television sales by sales person and territory
• Forecast revenue and costs associated with Domestic Television sales
• Participate and assist with monthly business operating and metric reviews, enabling discussions about the current and future state of the business
• Provide periodic reporting (e.g. actuals, projected revenue, pending deals) to inform decision-making
• Maintain by territory and by media ultimates for all Motion Picture and Television Production titles to serve as a baseline for setting regional sales goals
• Work with the Rights Management and IT teams to develop and maintain a reporting tool to track key deal terms of sales activity
• Serve as the primary liaison with Accounting to ensure proper revenue recognition and booking of deferred revenue
• Work closely with FP&A to ensure that actuals are tracking close to forecast and Budget - any deviations from forecast or Budget are analyzed, understood and investigated
• Ad-hoc projects as requested by management
Experience & Skills:
• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• 1 to 3 years of Sales planning or related experience, preferably in Entertainment
• Excellent modeling skills using Microsoft Excel
• Experience with OLAP analysis tools (BPC, Hyperion, etc.) and SAP
• Ability to communicate complex concepts at a high level to executive leadership
• Ability to work and problem solve independently, to organize workload and priorities, and complete tasks on time
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics while displaying the initiative in anticipating and exceeding the business demands of Senior Management
