Director, Branded Content
USA TODAY Network is seeking a Director, Branded Content to run the operations and marketing of GET Creative, our award-winning, in-house branded content studio.
The Director, Branded Content will lead a fast-paced cross-functional team that conceives, produces and executes branded content campaigns for a wide range of local, regional and national advertisers across the USA TODAY Network of 109 sites. The Director will partner closely with studio creatives, sales and marketing team members, and other executives - delivering premium content offerings to our advertising partners. Reporting to the VP, GET Creative, the Director will play a crucial role in ideating and activating compelling content that aligns with the sensibilities and objectives for all advertisers.
You will:
• Inspire, guide, and manage a team of branded content sales strategists, audience development managers, and social strategists across the country to deliver best-in-class branded content campaigns to drive new business and support existing partnerships with local and national advertisers.
• Oversee the deployment of post-sale activated concepts across all platforms (articles, galleries, listicles, interactives, video, VR) in print, digital, mobile, social and live events.
• Build category-level expertise (auto, finance, retail, travel, etc) amongst the team members by analyzing all campaigns in aggregate to identify and define best practices and solutions.
• Provide strong leadership, vision to scale operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Lead strategy in developing new branded content products, offerings and capabilities in support of category revenue and new business goals.
• Recruit and develop talent to grow local and regional branded content business.
• Exhibit outstanding interpersonal communication skills -- Set the standard for ensuring client and internal communications are always accurate, actionable and of the highest excellence.
• Identify, implement, and support ongoing process improvements that will directly shape the future of our business.
• Lead GET Creative marketing strategy.
• Attend client presentations representing USA TODAY Network’s digital portfolio of 109 properties via a customized client-focused approach.
• Manage client relationships and drive the follow-up for future branded content programs.

Qualifications:
• Possess a minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in an advertising agency, production house, publisher and/or branded content company.
• BS/BA degree required. MBA preferred.
• Proven track record of building innovative revenue streams and strong client partnerships.
• Seen as an expert in marketing, content, and production in the eyes of clients and internal teams alike.
• Problem solver who is able to devise creative solutions to new client offerings and existing business needs.
