Sr Mgr. Marketing Strategy - MDU
JOB SUMMARY
Manage the marketing tactics which will help drive awareness of the Spectrum Community Solutions Sales Channel (formerly MDU) through effective partner branding, relationship marketing and sales support. Utilize creative ideas to manage onboarding event strategies, product roll-outs, sales tools, and national positioning of brand to enhance lead generation efforts.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
• Partner with sales team to identify communication objectives to drive effective tools to onboard both customers and their residents to emerging technology.
• Direct, execute and evaluate the design and development of marketing events to build awareness, generate sales leads and increase penetration of marketplace
• Provide brand guidance and customer experience support in the development of product portals in cooperation with operations and product teams.
• Develop and maintain an evolving integrated marketing platform including positioning, sales tool templates, product updates, and videos to demonstrate competitive edge within the industry.
• Manage the overall expenses and projections, leading the annual and quarterly budgeting processes
• Manage creative agencies in the development of materials based on overall marketing calender.
• Travel and participate in ideation sessions with sales leads, operations, and product teams.
• Provide strategy to enable local marketing execution.
• Perform other duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Proven ability to manage customer acquisition, events and sales support programs
• Must possess a high level of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven ability to manage integrated marketing efforts
• Prior experience managing the relationship with outside agencies.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and think creatively, strategically and critically
• Ability to conduct formal presentations to all levels of management on issues or findings in assigned areas or subjects
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
• Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience
• Ability to work independently and make recommendations and decisions autonomously
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to make decisions and resolve problems while working under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer
• Penchant to work with a sense of urgency
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
Related Work Experience
• Marketing experience; 7+ years
• B2B, Channel Marketing, Sales Experience; 3+ years
• Event marketing/sales support; 3+ years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Knowledge of cable television, high speed Internet and phone products and services a plus.
• Proven ability to support complex product roll-outs
• Experience with B2B marketing
