Job Title:
Architect (AEM)
Job Summary:
The AEM Architect provides technical leadership throughout the life-cycle of a project, with specific focus on CMS Solutions. This role is responsible for guiding the design, user interface, and technology integration of projects and interfacing with client technology and management teams.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Actively work with the account team to establish strategy for the account
• Implement AEM architecture, visualization and development processes
• Coordinate globally dispersed development, QA, deployment and reuse
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry and enterprise-wide trends
• Utilize deep understanding of CMS solutions to make appropriate decisions
• Translate the client’s business requirements into systems design
• Establish high, mid and micro level plans, and estimates for project teams
• Identify and manage risk on project
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivalent military experience
• Minimum of 6 years experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, custom and package implementation, and architecture experience
• Experience providing a vision to the total solution, managing a track of work and defining a comprehensive solution leading toward a common vision
• Full Life Cycle Experience
• Frequent travel is required (up to 75%+)
Business Skills and Experience:
• Proven leadership and managerial skills to independently manage teams, during multiple phases of the project life-cycle
• Strong skills to effectively interface with client executives and multi-task Sapient teams
• Demonstrated consulting skills, including client relationships and team facilitation
• Well-developed organizational and interpersonal communications skills
• General understanding of the business environment, models and motivations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, such as meeting facilitation, presentation and documentation
• Good business analysis/redesign skills with architecture and implementation experience
• Requirements analysis, conceptual, logical and detailed design skills
• Configuration planning, testing, change management and support experience
• Project management with complex projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Prior experience in a consulting firm preferred
Technical Skills and Experience:
• Experience working with 2 or more WCM/ECM products (AEM, Tridion, Interwoven, Fatwire, Vignette, SharePoint, or Sitecore)
• 6+ years in application architecture/enterprise architecture, systems integration and development, package implementation
• Experience integrating search technology (Autonomy, Endeca, FAST, etc.) with content management
• Experience in designing, implementing and supporting enterprise level applications
• Expertise in multiple technology platforms/languages such as Java, J2EE, C#, .NET, etc
