Media Operations Specialist
Job Summary
We are currently looking to hire a Media Operations Specialist in our Brand Strategy Department/Los Angeles office. This position reports directly to a Media Operations Manager and a Brand Group Director. As part of our Brand Strategy team you will be performing various administrative duties to support the day-to-day activities of brand planning and execution across the Constellation Beer portfolio – consisting of eight different brands.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• 15% - Develop comprehensive reporting for all media placements in adherence with client requirements
• 25% - Financial management across multiple brands
• Track monthly media expenditures to align with client budget tracker and schedules
• Ensure that system is tracking all expenditures, schedules, etc. accurately; also confirm that plan/budget revisions are captured to mitigate billing issues
• Review all estimate and final billing prior to client issuance
• Collaborate with internal teams for monthly budgeting and billing reconciliations
• 20% - Oversee traffic execution for TV, Radio and local requests; and advise Traffic department of copy changes and/or customized instructions for special events. Review traffic billing/talent reports
• 20% - Gather information for competitive analysis, as well as data for client’s primary research
• Ability to form a story based on data analysis
• Develop positive and close working relationships with client creative agencies
• 5% - Maintain day-to-day client/agency communications, at appropriate level
• 5% - Issue weekly status reports; participate in client calls as appropriate
• 10 % - Participate in internal/external audits, as necessary
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Media Operations Specialist will not have employees reporting to them. That said, they will collaborate with members of the CBBD team on the above outlined projects.
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Detail-oriented; including ability to quickly identify potential issues by looking at the data
• Pro-active and solution-oriented; resourceful. Must be a self-starter who can collaborate but also work independently
• Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel, including working knowledge of pivot tables and more intricate excel functions. Familiarity with macros preferred but not required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment with the additional ability to work independently
• Strong basic math skills
• Great organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Multi-tasking
• College degree
• 3+ years of work experience in a relevant area (i.e. accounting, finance, advertising/media, administrative, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Familiar with media planning and buying, SBMS and Nielsen tools a plus, but not required
